About NeW In September of 2004, a group of students founded the Network of enlightened Women (NeW) at the University of Virginia. Only a semester after NeW was founded, NeW began to spread nationally. The mission of NeW is to foster the education and leadership skills of conservative university women. NeW is also devoted to expanding the intellectual diversity on college campuses. NeW members meet regularly to discuss the opportunities and challenges facing women today, as well as current political issues. Joining NeW is a great way to build friendships with women who share your principles! NeW was started as a book club where its members could read about ideas and people often forgotten on college campuses. Many NeW chapters engage in activities in addition to meeting as a book club. NeW chapters have successfully hosted speakers, debates and dinners. We are excited about our future! Additional chapters have been created as more women learn about NeW. If you are interested in starting a chapter at your campus or would like more information, please contact NeW.
