Anna Beavon is
a junior at Meredith College and a North Carolina native. She
is a Political Science major with a double minor in
International Studies and Writing, NeW president at Meredith.
Anna Beavon has
interned for The North Carolina Family Policy Council and
Concerned Women for America. She loves to watch C-SPAN. Anna Beavonadmires
S.E. Cupp, the writer and pundit and wants to be her when she
grows up. Headbands are her favorite accessory, Community is
the new Office, and she likes movie trailers more than the
actual movie.

Annemarie is the sister of a former blogette, Catherine
Smith. She earned her undergraduate degree in cello
performance from ASU. Since co-founding NeW at Arizona
State University with her sister, Annemarie has become a wife
and mother. As a stay at home mom, Annemarie has enjoyed the
flexibility of being with her baby and husband, while pursuing
her love of music through opening a private cello studio and
professionally performing. Annemarie enjoys spending her free
time shopping, vacationing at the beach and most of all,
spending time with friends and family. She is
leading the online blog book club.

Bridget is a recent graduate
of the University of Virginia where she
studied Economics and English Literature. She was a leader
of the NeW at UVA Chapter. She is currently working for
the Federalist Society in Washington DC and is part of the Koch
Associates Program. Her current heroes include Leo Messi, Paula
Deen, and Fyodor Dostoevsky.

Blayne attends
Arizona State University where she is majoring in finance. She
is president of the ASU chapter of the Network of enlightened
Women and has helped bring several nationally prominent
conservatives to speak at ASU. She teaches a weekly class on
"The Freshman Experience" for first-year students in the ASU
business school. She has participated in the leadership training
programs of the Leadership Institute, Clare Boothe Luce Policy
Institute, and Young America's Foundation.

Caroline is a third
year student at Mr. Jefferson's University in Charlottesville,
Virginia. At UVA, Caroline serves as the Vice President of
Events of NeW and
an emergency preparedness organization, Hoos Ready.
She also fulfills her passion for dancing as a performer with
the Virginia Dance Company. In her free time, Caroline enjoys
spending time with family and friends, cooking, and being an
outspoken conservative activist.

Danelle is
a sophomore at The Ohio State University majoring in history and
minoring in psychology. At the present, she is Co-Chair of NeW,
Vice Chair of OSU College Republicans, Political Director of the
Ohio College Republican Federation, and also interns for the
Ohio Republican Party’s Coalitions and Outreach Department. In
her spare time, Danelle enjoys spending time with family,
reading, and baking or can be found outside golfing, skiing, or
target shooting.

Elizabeth H. is an undergraduate at the
University of Florida majoring in Public Relations and minoring
in Business Administration and completing a Retail Leadership
Certificate. She is the current Vice President of NeW at UF and
has served as Conservative Delegate and Public Relations Officer
in her past year and a half involved. Elizabeth is involved in
many clubs on campus ranging from the U.S. Green Building
Council to Retail Society to Americans for Prosperity. In
addition to staying up to date on the political scene (and
wearing a stylish NeW tea party bonnet), Elizabeth likes to play
tennis, go to the gym, shop, and spend time with family and
friends. Elizabeth says, "NeW has truly changed my life and has
provided me an invaluable college experience-introducing me
to women on campus that not only share the same beliefs but
women that I consider lifelong friends."

Elizabeth P. is currently a graduate
student at the University of Kentucky (UK) and will graduate in May with her
Master’s degree in communication. She teaches mass media and mass culture
at UK, and specializes in risk and crisis management communication.
Currently, she is working on her thesis and applying to PhD programs. She
enjoys working with NEW to further conservative principles pertaining to
women and is glad UK opened up their own chapter this past fall. When she’s
not researching, teaching, or writing, she loves to run, volunteer with Big
Brothers Big Sisters, and stay up to date on current policy issues.

Holly is
a graduate of the Univerity of Florida and the current Executive Director for
the Network of enlightened Women. She recently married her college sweetheart
and now resides in Lexington, Kentucky, the heart of horse country. Though she
is enjoying the snow and change of seasons in the Commonwealth, Holly is still a
Florida girl at heart. She enjoys Florida sunsets on the Gulf Coast, a tall
glass of Florida orange juice, and cheering on her beloved Florida Gator
Football and Basketball teams.

Ferrum is a graduate of the University of Virginia, and
a third year law students at the University of Arizona College
of Law. She was born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan,
Canada, where the wheat is high in the summers and the snow is
even higher in the winters. When she was 6 years old, Ferrum was
a junior Scottish sword-dancing champion in Nova Scotia but has
since retired. Mary Cassatt is her favorite painter; it was one
of her paintings that taught her how to hold a child. She enjoys
drinking hot chocolate and ice-skating, cooking and cleaning.
She has a weakness for good-quality milk chocolate and Coca-Cola
in glass bottles. And as you will read about in her posts, she
doesn't wear pants.

Jessica is NeW's North Carolina State Chair.
She is a Political Science graduate from the University of
Florida. At UF, she helped found NeW and served as the Vice
President of NeW for two and a half years. Jessica enjoyed
watching the organization grow and impact the Gator campus. Now
she works for a non-profit think tank, the JWP Civitas
Institute, in Raleigh, North Carolina where she writes on public
policy issues affecting the family, women, and state residents.
She is also a current participant in the Charles G. Koch
Associate Program where she discusses the foundations of
economic liberty and human freedom across the world. When not
tackling policy issues and studying free-market behaviors, she
enjoys writing to her deployed fiancé, exploring her new city,
and building a network of enlightened women!

Karin is the Founder of the
Network of enlightened Women (NeW). She recently graduated
from law school at the University of Virginia. Her columns appear on
Townhall.com. She is a proud Midwesterner, born and
raised in Indiana, and an avid tennis player.

Kathleen is in her fourth and final year at the University
of Virginia majoring in Systems and Information Engineering.
Last year, she served as the President of NeW at UVA and has
been an active member of the club since her first year. In
addition to NeW, Kathleen races for the club ski team and
volunteers her time as a catechist for second grade religious
education at her church. She enjoys spending time with her
family, playing sports, cooking and is looking forward to
marrying her high school sweetheart next summer.

Loren
is a third year at the University of Virginia. She is majoring
in foreign affairs and economics. Outside of classes, she is a
member of UVA's NeW chapter, where she formerly served as Vice
President, and is also involved in College Republicans and
Students Taking Action Now: Darfur. She enjoys spending time
with family and friends and an occasional shopping spree in her
spare time.

Rachel is a junior
public relations and political science major at the University
of Florida (Go Gators!). She is the president of NeW at UF and
the Public Relations and Marketing Intern for NeW National. She
leads a community Bible study group through Campus Crusade for
Christ and is a part of the Public Relations Student Society of
America. She interned for the public information department of a
local sheriff's office, where she was able to visit the scene of
a drug bust and sit in detective's meetings. She runs volleyball
camps in the summers in her hometown of Ocala, FL, plays beach
volleyball and likes to run in her free time. She enjoys any and
all outdoor adventures. |
